Fraser Town Board Selects a New Town Organization Logo!  

At the March 6, 2024, Town of Fraser Board of Trustee meeting, the Fraser Board voted to approve the above logo as the new logo for the Town of Fraser organization.

How did we get here? 

The new logo and brand resulted from a seven-month-long process that included conversations and meetings with stakeholders, Town staff, Board members, partner organizations, and the community.

Why did we need a new logo and brand?

Through evaluation of the previous brand, it was determined: 

• The old logo was difficult for the visually impaired to read due to the color gradients and ornate font.
• The Town had no brand standards, leading to inconsistent messaging, colors, and how we represented ourselves. The new brand standards include more than just a logo. It also includes: 
  1. Colors
  2. Letterhead and PowerPoint templates
  3. Key messaging 
  4. Apparel regulations
  5. Sign templates
• The old logo was inflexible and expensive to stitch onto apparel, limiting how it could be used and applied to Town materials. 
• During community outreach, where we received more than 200 responses, it was determined that most residents were interested in the Town moving forward with a new brand.
• In contrast to the former logo, the new logo more accurately represents assets in Fraser, including Byers Peak, the Fraser River, and our vibrant sunsets.  
• During outreach, it was determined that a new logo could better align with community goals, including surrounding economic development. 

When will we start seeing the new brand in the community?

You’ll likely see the new logo and brand colors implemented in our digital and some printed assets in March, while other materials, such as signs throughout the community and town vehicles, will take a little longer and will be replaced as our budget allows. 

To ensure fiscal responsibility, the implementation of the logo will be a phased approach over the next four years.

What about Leaving Planet Earth and Funky Fraser? 

The new logo is meant to serve as the logo for the Town of Fraser as a professional organization. Materials for tourism and events will still include elements from “Leaving Planet Earth” and “Keep Fraser Funky,” while the Town, as a professional organization, will use the new logo and branding.
