General Municipal Election & Voter Information

The Fraser Town Hall 153 Fraser Avenue, is the primary ballot drop-off location. Ballots may be mailed.

Due to Colorado State HB 13-1303 Electors are no longer listed as having a Permanent Mail-In Voter Status in the County's Voter Registration List. This took effect on July 1, 2013.

Qualifications for Registering to Vote

You must meet the following qualifications in order to register to vote:

  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be at least 18 years of age by election day
  • Be a  resident of Colorado for 22 consecutive days before election day as well as a resident of Fraser on the day you register - this must be done at Grand County Clerk and Recorder's Office in Hot Sulphur Springs
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony or other loss of civil rights which would make it unlawful to vote

Re-register to vote if you change your address or change your name. When you move, notify the Grand County Election Department or the Fraser Town Clerk's office. This notification can be made in the form of a properly completed Voter Registration Application.

In order to change your Political Party Affiliation you must complete a new Voter Registration Application showing you new party affiliation. For Municipal Elections, you may vote for all offices and applicable ballot questions on your ballot, regardless of your party affiliation.

All notification of changes must have your handwritten signature!
