1. Where are the Tubing Hills?

Fraser now boasts two tubing hills. Turn off Highway 40 at the Wendy's onto CR 72. One tubing hill is up the hill on the right; for the other, from CR 72, turn right onto the Fraser Valley Parkway, just after the railroad underpass - it is on the left. 2. Where is the Cozens Ranch Museum?

It is in Fraser, just inside the city limits, near Winter Park, on Highway 40. Call 970-726-5488 for hours of operation in winter or summer, or for information.

3. Where is the Post Office?

4. Where is the High Country Stampede and Rodeo?

At the John Work Arena, just west of Fraser. To get there, turn west at the Wendy's on Highway 40 and travel on CR. 72 under the railroad underpass, turn right on the Fraser Valley Parkway, turn left on CR 73 and travel up the hill. 5. How far is the town of Winter Park from Fraser?

The Town of Winter Park is approximately two miles south on Highway 40. The Winter Park Ski Resort is another three miles south on Highway 40 (total of five miles from Fraser). For more information, contact us at 970-726-5491.

6. What is Old Town Winter Park?

It is the name of the area just north and east of the Winter Park Ski Resort. It consists of a night club, a restaurant, ski rental businesses, homes and town homes and condominiums. For more information, contact us at 970-726-5491.

7. Where is Snow Mountain Ranch / YMCA / Camp Chief Ouray?

From Fraser, travel North / Northwest on Highway 40 approximately eight miles, to the fourth left turn past the town of Tabernash. Tabernash is about four miles from Fraser. The first left turn is to Pole Creek Meadows, a housing subdivision, the second left turn is to two churches. The third left turn is to County Road 5. 8. Where is Granby Ranch?

It is 14 miles North / Northwest on Highway 40, approximately 14 miles from Fraser. It is about a mile and a half south of the town of Granby. There are various lodging properties in the Granby Ranch. For more information, contact us at 970-726-5491.

9. Where is Pole Creek Golf Course?

Travel north on Highway 40 past Tabernash. Take the third left turn off Highway 40 after the town of Tabernash on to CR. 5. Travel approximately one mile to the entrance. For more information, contact us at 970-726-5491.

10. Where is Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort?

Travel towards Tabernash, North / Northwest on Highway 40 for almost four miles. When the road begins to curve to go up and over the railroad tracks, there is a road to the right, CR 83, which you should turn right onto. This road takes you across the Fraser River to a fork; you will take the right hand fork (CR 83) to it's end (approximately four miles from the highway).

11. Where is Meadow Creek Reservoir?

Travel towards Tabernash, North / Northwest on Highway 40 for almost four miles. When the road begins to curve to go up and over the railroad tracks, there is a road to the right, CR 83, which you should turn right onto. This road takes you across the Fraser River to a fork; turn left at the fork in the road, onto CR 84 and follow this road to its end (approximately 10 miles from the highway). 12. Where is the Fraser River Trail?

There are two parts of this trail which connects Fraser and Winter Park. The paved portion parallels Highway 40 and begins at the Wendy's on Highway 40 in Fraser, and ends at Trademark condominiums in Old Town Winter Park. From there you can utilize streets to connect to the Winter Park Ski Resort. The unpaved portion of the trail begins at CR 8, at the northern end of Fraser and connects to a road which leads from Highway 40 to the Catholic Church, this road is also the entrance to Rendezvous subdivision. An easy access point for the unpaved portion of the trail is the parking lot at the Fraser Visitor Center. Interpretive signs and viewing scopes are located along the trail. 13. Where is Meadow Ridge?

It is on the ridge above the Fraser River, up the road behind Safeway. Meadow Ridge is the collective term used for the condominium community at the top of the ridge. Several nightly rentals are located there, notably, The Pines, Lookout Village, Indian Peaks, Silvercrest and Meadow Ridge itself. 14. Where is the Amtrak Station?

he Fraser-Winter Park Amtrak station is located in Fraser at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Fraser Avenue. The station is not manned. There is an open platform. It is one block west of Highway 40. Turn (left if traveling North on Highway 40, right if traveling South on Highway 40) at the Crooked Creek Saloon onto Fraser Avenue and go one block. 15. Where is Rocky Mountain National Park?

It is approximately 33 miles north of Fraser. Travel on Highway 40 to Granby (15 miles) turn north on Highway 34 to Grand Lake (16 miles) The park entrance is on Highway 34 a few miles above the Village of Grand Lake. 16. Where is Trail Ridge Road?

It is the name given Highway 34 as it passes through Rocky Mountain National Park. Quite scenic and at high altitude, the road is closed during winter. Call 970-627-3471 to ask if the road is open during spring and fall months. Typically, it opens Memorial Day and closes Labor Day, but weather conditions determine the exact dates of open and closed status.

17. Where is Estes Park?

Not to be mistaken for the national park itself, Estes Park is the town at the northeastern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. In summer months, Highway 34 is open and takes you directly into Estes Park, travelling through Rocky Mountain National Park. Depending on traffic, the trip to Estes Park can take from two to three hours, especially if you stop at any of the lookout points in the national park along the way. In the winter, Highway 34, also known as Trail Ridge Road, is closed.
