Water Conservation

hand held sprinkler nozzle

Could you be watering the wrong way?

We appreciate the importance of protecting our most valuable asset - water. Water restrictions are in place year-round in Fraser. Restrictions are designed to allow for the use of water and to protect it from being squandered unnecessarily.

1) Outside watering and irrigation is strictly prohibited between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM. Hand-held watering by hose and watering canister during this time is allowed, but not encouraged.

2) Timers are strongly recommended on all irrigation systems and hoses, with a time setting not to exceed 30 minutes per rotation. Rain sensors on such systems are also recommended.

3) Washing cars, boats, campers, windows and the like, shall be done only when the hose is equipped with a flow restricting device such as a trigger nozzle.

Thank you for your contribution to water conservation in Fraser!
